The National Music Center:

Living Music in the Digital AgeOn March 30, 2006, the National Music Center (NMC) entered into an agreement with The Historical Society of Washington, D.C. (HSW) that calls for the Music Center to occupy a substantial portion of the 1901 Beaux Arts Carnegie Library for the next four years.
During its occupancy, the National Music Center will offer a wide variety of performances, classes, exhibits and special events that will showcase the breadth and depth of music in Washington, D.C. and throughout America.
the gig
The National Music Center’s programming component, “the gig,” promises a wide variety of performances, programs, classes and exhibits. Over 20,000 square feet of programmable space is available to “the gig” to educate, enlighten and entertain Washingtonians and visitors from around the world.
